What do I need to bring for my pet’s stay?
We provide comfy bedding, bowls, and plenty of love! (We also provide litter for cats!) But feel free to bring your pet’s favorite blanket, bed, toy, and food to keep things familiar. We recommend enough food for their full stay, portioned if possible.
For small mammals, please be sure to bring their enclosure, bedding/litter, water bowl / food dish, food, and any comfort items.
Do I need to provide my pet’s food?
We encourage you to bring your pet’s regular food to avoid any tummy troubles.
If you opt for food provided by the facility, there will be a charge of $5 per day added for your pets stay.
Do you require vaccinations?
Yes. For everyone’s safety, we require up to date records. Please see policy page for details. Records can be uploaded through our customer portal.
Can I tour your facility before booking?
Absolutely! We love showing pet parents around! Contact us to schedule a private tour or virtual tour if that works best for you! We want you to feel confident and comfortable leaving your pet with us!
Are pets checked on between 5pm – 8 am?
Of course! We would never leave our own pets unattended for that long, so we would not do that to yours! Your pets will be checked on, played with, cuddled, and monitored throughout their entire stay with us! At LAMBOS Farm, your pets are part of our family and will be treated as such!
Is my dog going to be in a kennel?
For your pups, we have 2 types of accommodations: A standard dog kennel which is equipped with cozy bedding or a pup suite which is like a mini room. Whichever you select, we will spend one-on-one time to ensure your pup is confident and happy in their space!
Are dogs confined all day?
No way! Dogs enjoy a balance of rest and activity. We will have plenty of socialization time with humans and other dogs if that is something that you and your pup are comfortable with. We promise to provide plenty of love and cuddles throughout their stay!
Is my cat kept in a cage?
No cages here! Kitty condos are multi – level private suites that are similar to a cozy cat tree. We also have a cage free option. Our Cattery is designed to feel cozy and just like home!
Will my cat get playtime or attention?
Absolutely! We tailor interactions to each cat’s temperament. This is not a one-size-fits-all facility! We do what is best for YOUR pet!
How often will my small mammal be fed and their enclosures cleaned?
We follow your feeding schedule exactly as provided. Fresh water is provided daily and habitats are spot-cleaned daily with full cleanings as needed. Cleanliness and comfort are our top priorities.
Can you administer medication?
Yes. We are experienced with administering oral and topical medication. Just provide clear instructions and medications in their original containers.
Do you accept pets with special needs?
Yes! We believe every pet deserves love, comfort, and quality care – especially those with special needs! Whether your pet has mobility challenges, medical conditions, or sensory impairments, we are happy to work with you to create a personalized care plan!
Does my pet need to be spayed/neutered to stay here?
Your pet does not need to be spayed / neutered to stay with us! However, there are some guidelines for unaltered pets.
- Unaltered pets are not permitted to participate in group play or social time
- They must remain in their own private space and have separate outdoor time.
*Pets under 7 months are an exception to this policy and will be cared for based on age and temperament.
Dogs in Heat
We do accept female dogs in heat. For everyone’s safety and comfort, dogs in heat will not participate in social play and will be kept separate from other dogs. A $10 per day cleaning fee applies during the heat cycle. Please let us know in advance if your dog is in heat or enters a heat cycle during their stay.
Do you board puppies / kittens and senior pets?
We welcome all ages! For puppies and senior dogs, please see the dog boarding page for special packages. For cats, we adjust routines based on their needs. Be sure to include any special care instructions when booking.
Do you offer transportation?
We sure do! We will be happy to pick up your pet from any of the following counties for a rate of $25 for the first 40 miles round trip. Anything over 40 miles will be $1 per additional mile.

What safety precautions do you take?
We maintain a secure, temperature controlled environment with species – appropriate care. We monitor all guests closely and sanitize between boarding clients.
What if my pet gets sick or injured during their stay?
Your dog’s well-being is our top priority. We will contact you right away and, if needed, we will take them to your preferred vet or our trusted local vet. Emergency contacts are required at booking and we will reach out to them in the event you are unable to be contacted.
What if my pet gets stressed or anxious?
We understand that being away from home can be tough! We will provide extra TLC (and plenty of one on one attention) until they are 100% confident and comfortable. Treats (if owner approved) and plenty of cuddles are usually enough to make them feel right at home!
Can I get updates during my pet’s stay?
Of course! We offer report cards through our online portal so you can see your pet enjoying their vacation. We can also send text updates if that is what you prefer!
